On Sunday on the way to Larkhill, not in our regular transport lorry, Barrington got himself in a bit of a pickle which was very out of character for Barrington. I can now say he is safely home having had a long sleep over at Valley Equine Hospital, Lambourn. A massive thank you to Bobby McEwen who dealt with Barrington on the scene and all vets and nurses who have taken great care in looking after him over the last week. Oxfordshire police and Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service (Official), including their special animal team from Kidlington were amazing and a credit to the fire service. Also thank you to the support team Ed Austin who abandoned his car on the slip road and ran up the closed A34 to help and to David Bodge Annetts for dropping every thing and getting to us, taking Barrington safety to the vets and bringing him home today. Barrington is one very lucky horse and accidents do happen, but he is back at the yard now and that is all that matters. He is still very sore but I will also like to thank in advance Sarah Deeming and Sophie O’Connor who will treat him and help aid his recovery and return Barrington into the cheeky chappy we have all come to love. I personally cannot thank you all enough and I am sure I can speak for Judith and Barrie Holt in thanking you all on their behalf.
